The Division 2's Title Update 12 was supposed to be the last title update for the game, but Ubisoft has changed its mind and announced that more content will be released later this year.

Ubisoft Major has posted a message from the Division 2 team to Reddit that this latest content is thanks to "your continuous passion and support."

"Today, we are thrilled to confirm that there will be additional content for The Division 2 released later this year! It is your continuous passion and support which enables us to continue to build upon The Division 2 experience, and we cannot thank you enough for that," Ubisoft Massive wrote.

"Some of you had noticed that Title Update 12 was originally meant to be the last major Title Update for The Division 2, but thanks to your continued support, we are now in the early stages of development for fresh content to release later in 2021."

Although no details were released as to what this content could be, Ubisoft promised that "won't have to wait too long."

This is great news for fans of Division 2, particularly those who return to the game or try it for the first time since the next-gen 4K/60 FPS update for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S has arrived.

Along with work on Division 2 updates, Ubisoft Major is also creating a Star Wars open world project as well as an Avatar game.
